CHECK THE BUS AFTER TRIP COMPLETION
A NFC card stuck on the rear window of the bus has to be scanned by the assistant to FINISH the trip. This ensures that the bus is checked after every trip.

BUS TRIP COMPLETION
Every bus trip needs to be closed by the bus assistant. Once all the students have exited the bus, the bus assistant has to walk to the back of the bus to scan the ‘finish trip’ card to complete the trip. This will ensure that he/she checks the bus.
Trips cannot be closed until all the students have been marked as ‘exited the bus’ and the ‘finish trip’ card has been scanned, thus ensuring that no child is left behind in the bus

Yes, the parent can inform the bus assistant that the child will be absent today from within the Lokate Student parent app.
Yes, in the case of a delay, the parents can be informed that their child’s bus is delayed due to any reason like rain, fog, vehicle breakdown, traffic congestion etc.
Can the parent know in which bus their child has entered when returning from Stayback and ECA Trips?
Yes, the parent will recieve notifcations regrding the bus number and contact details of the bus staff once their child enters the ECA/Stayback bus. They will also be able to track the bus on LIVE map even though it might not be the the usual bus they travel in the morning or in the afternoon.
Safety has been the priority aspect during the continuos development and upgrades to the Lokate Student system. At the rear of the bus (on the inside) there is a SAFETY SCAN card that needs to be scanned after the end of each trip (after all students have exited the bus) and then only the trip is completed. This ensures that the bus assistant walks to the back of the bus and checks the bus for any student left behind, sleeping, hiding etc. Schools that do not follow such safety practices judiciously when using our system are warned of cancellation of the contract.
This usually occurs during the afternoon trip when the students are entering the bus from school. On entering a wrong or an unassigned bus, when their ID card is scanned by the bus assistant, the school transport supervisor is immediatly notified about this child on the their LS Supervisor app. Remedial action can be taken before the bus leaves the school campus.
